2022/23 Admissions Consultation
Consultation on admission arrangements at Broadmead Primary School for 2022-23
Broadmead Primary School are currently in consultation on their admission arrangements for 2022-23. The consultation period will run from 27th November 2020 until 4th January 2021; during this time, stakeholders are invited to express their views and any concerns about the proposed changes to the admission arrangements at Broadmead Primary School.
In accordance with the DfE’s 2014 statutory ‘School Admissions Code’ guidance, as a school we must consult on our admission arrangements when changes are proposed, and at least once every seven years.
Changes are proposed
To this end, the following amendments to our admission arrangements have been proposed:
A decrease in admission numbers from 90 to 60
This is being proposed because the school board (local governing board) and the trust board believe that reducing the PAN will assist them in providing stability to their long-term planning while continuing to provide an appropriate number of places for future pupil numbers living in the surrounding area.
A full version of the proposed changes to the admission arrangements, as well as the rationale behind them, is available to view below or in hard copy from the school office.
In accordance with statutory DfE guidance, the consultation will run for at least six weeks and, as an interested party at Broadmead Primary School, we are keen to hear your views on the proposed changes to the admission arrangements; therefore, we invite you to participate in the consultation if you have any concerns regarding the matter.
All responses to the consultation should be made in writing and submitted before 12 noon on Friday 4th January 2021 to the school office – admin@broadmead.croydon.sch.uk
Please note that written responses should outline your personal details, including your name, address and relationship to the school.
At the end of the consultation period, the school board will meet to consider responses. The outcome of the consultation will be published on the school website as soon as possible following a decision being reached by the board. Hard copies of the final report will be made available on request to all respondents of the consultation.
For further information regarding the consultation process, please refer to our proposal document, copies of which can be located below or in hard copy from the school office. If you wish to further discuss this matter, or anything mentioned in this letter, please contact Adam Lewis, Chair of the School Board via the school office.
